"Identity Crisis" is an eighth-season episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent and the 158th episode overall.
In this episode, two boys endure the abuse from their insane mother who was killed by electrocution and twenty years later, one of the brothers is killed by the other to prevent their family secret being exposed.
As Goren and Eames investigate, they discover the murder has revealed many secrets from the victim’s and suspect’s childhood. Their suspect, who killed his mother and brother, has a lot to hide, including false identities. As the detectives zero in on the suspect, they discover he is now a disturbed businessman whose secrets have taken over his life and put him on the run.
